Once you have found a download containing the Yufa Splines, follow these steps to ensure they are installed correctly:
Yufa splines are a collection of custom 3D splines (linear objects like roads, paths, and sidewalks) created for OMSI and OMSI 2. These splines are heavily used by map developers to create realistic bus stops, specialized road markings, and detailed terrain elements that aren't included in the base game.
Try loading the map without placing a bus first to check if the environment loads.
If you need help finding a for a map requirement, or if your logfile is still showing errors after installation, let me know. Paste the exact error line from your logfile.txt file, and I can decipher the missing path for you. Share public link
Finding a working download for (often needed for maps like Mainz, Winsenburg, or Gladbeck) can be difficult because many original links are dead or blocked. Working Download Sources
One of the most reliable methods, confirmed by multiple users in OMSI WebDisk discussions, is:
The spline is there but incorrectly referenced. Fix: In the OMSI Editor, try to manually load the spline via Splines → Yufa → yufa_xxx.sli . If it appears, the download is fine; the map’s reference might be case-sensitive (e.g., splines\Yufa vs Splines\Yufa ). Windows doesn’t care, but OMSI can.
If you have the files or a mirror link, please drop it in the comments or DM me. Thanks! 👇
Thanks in advance!
Open the extracted Yufa folder. You will usually see folders named Splines and Sceneryobjects .
Once you get correctly, keep it working:
Some community members report that copying the entire Yufa folder from a map that already works into your main OMSI 2 installation can solve many missing spline issues at once. This "copy from a working map" method is especially helpful for splines like bussteig003.sli .
OMSI 2 is very strict about folder paths. If a map expects Splines\Yufa\12cm_N_line.sli but you have placed the file in Splines\Yufa\Textures\12cm_N_line.sli , the game will not find it. Verify that the folder structure inside your Splines\Yufa directory matches exactly what the map expects.
Find where your game is installed. The standard Steam path is usually: C:\Program Files (x86)\Steam\steamapps\common\OMSI 2\ 3. Move the Files
OMSI 2 does not include custom community assets by default. Map creators use Yufa's objects and splines to build realistic, multi-lane roads, pathways, and complex highway layouts. Without them installed in your root directory, the game engine cannot display the paths where buses drive, leading to game crashes or broken AI traffic. Where to Download Yufa Splines Safely
